2021 Golf Course Spring Cleaning

On behalf of the Emerald Lake Golf Course Committee I want to thank everyone that participated for the extraordinary effort made today. An unbelievable 40 volunteers showed up – that’s got to be some kind of record!

From the Park Entrance Team who drag-raced trees down the grid road to the burn pit, to the Bridge Crew, the Hole 7 and 8 leaf crews, the post team, the root-removal team, the Hole 6 sand-green rehabilitation group, the marsh-margin cutting group and to all of you who hauled tons of trees and branches on holes 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8, and 9 (yes that all of them!) to the burn pit our special thanks and you should be proud of your contribution.

I am pleased to announce that Mr. Dave Orr, husband to Nicole, father to Raelyn and Rylee, and most importantly Son-in-Law to Marcel Lamontagne, won the ELRP Annual Pass. Congratulations Dave!

Next up Green 1 installation and Green 9 recontouring😊

COVID-19 Update – July


COVID-19 Update as of July 2, 2020.

Any campsite bookings for June 1 or later and cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions will receive a full refund.  Regular cancellations will adhere to present cancellation guidelines.

Starting on June 26th, all campsites will be open. Group camping is NOT permitted. Sharing sites is NOT permitted. Only 1 unit per site. Saskatchewan residents only. 

Persons that stay in your site must be people that normally reside with you. 

Main shower house and shower will be open with limited hours. One outhouse for tenters will be open. Campers must use their own self-contained washroom facilities. 

The public beach is open to the public. With limitations that follow the Saskatchewan public health guidelines with limited numbers and physical distancing. Everyone may not have access at the beach at the same time  

Playgrounds will be open. Users must follow the Saskatchewan Public Health guidelines for outdoor playgrounds and parks


Golf course will remain open. Social distancing must be practiced at all times. Only people that reside together can share a rental golf cart. 

 Swimming lessons will be cancelled this season. 

Cash and cheque will not be accepted anywhere in the park.  Credit or debit ONLY. 

The main store is open for limited confectionary. 

Beach store is to be opening June 26.

The boat launch is open to the public. Filleting shack is now open. 

One public washroom will be open to the public at the beach store. 

All public events are cancelled including July 1st celebrations and Emfest activities.

No rental equipment at this time.

The camp kitchen will be closed.

Rental cabin open starting July 1st.

No social gatherings exceeding 15 indoors and 30 outdoors with social distancing. 

If you have been outside of Canada within 14 days of your arrival or have been in contact with someone who is displaying symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home. 

Some restrictions may be added or altered without notice. 

Please remember to social distance and stay safe!

EMFEST 2019!

What a huge success. It was an amazing weekend filled with fun, family and friends. An event for all ages!

Friday night kicked off with The Bonfire Jamboree at the main beach. Thanks to our fire master, Zach Banda, and to all our talented attendees for coming out and jamming.

Saturday morning was our delicious pancake breakfast, thank you to our volunteers Barb and Trevor Cross, Deanna Herman, Larry and Brenda Buddecke, Marc Rochette, Tammy Sheppard and Oliver Mollberg. Everyone left with happy hearts and full tummies. We had about 100 people in attendance.

As well on Saturday was highly anticipated kids fun day! This included all the races, slip n slide, sandcastle building contest and watermelon eating contest. Huge thanks to Lesley Weiman for organizing the fun day. Big thanks to all the volunteers who helped make it happen, Paul Weiman, Roberta and Bruce Mansell, Jessica Mansell, Rowan Mansell, Stella Mansell, Barb and Trevor Cross, Tammy Sheppard, Tracey and Sean Grey, Nichole Mollberg and Leanne Eddy. Thanks!

Saturday was also the start of the 50/50 ticket sales and the silent auction. We had tons of wonderful donations from our corporate sponsors, Sasktel, SaskPower, Innovation Place, Tait Insurance, Innovation Credit Union, Affinity Credit Union, Woodland Pharmacy, Agro Coop and our Leaseholders and campers in the park. Thank you for all the beautiful donations.

Sunday was our beach volleyball tournament. There was tons of tough competition out on the court. Thank you to the Parenteau family for score keeping throughout the whole tournament and Daryl Oshanek for officiating the final. Thanks to all the teams, Set Joel, Emerald Lakers, Nameless, The Spicy Schnarps, New Kids on the Block, Vajj Balls, Main Beaches, Setting ducks, Harms & Friends and Super Dave for participating, loved the spirit and the team names. Special shout out to Cool 32 and The #CityBoiz for battling it out in the final. The #CityBoiz took home the cup, merch and the cash prize of $300! Congratulations Savanna Bowley, Tana Thiessen, Ryan Andres, Anthony Lapierre, Luke Lapierre, Connor Dembrowski and Jonah Bumphrey!

Along side the tournament was our Beer Gardens sponsored by Blaine Lake Liquor, Hardware and Variety! Thank you, Krystal and Ryan, for coming out and enjoying the day with us. Throughout the day we had hotdogs and hamburgers for sale from our wonderful volunteers Marty and Donna Thompson, Nancy Pelletier and Brenda Pelletier and our grill masters Clint and Heather Mann, Dan Larlham and Peggy Watson, we couldn’t have done it without all of you!

Sunday concluded the end of the silent auction and the 50/50 draw. The lucky winner this year was Jen Fehr who took home $578.50! Congratulations Jen!

Emfest 2019 was fun for all and a success for the park, we raised $3,500 for recreation activities, we are excited for next year!

History Book – Order

The Emerald Lake history book is in its final stages of getting ready to go to the printers later this summer. It will be a hard covered book and we believe it will be around 250-300 pages. This number will not be determined until the final layout of the book is complete. We are including either 8 or 16 colored picture pages, depending on the book size.

We have estimated the cost of the book to be no more than $50.00 each, again, depending on the number of pages in the book and the number of books we order.

If you are interested in purchasing a book (or several), we are asking you to please email Dorothy at  or phone her at 306-747-7609 to place your order by Monday, August 5th, 2019. Unfortunately we will not be ordering additional books that have not been ordered through email, phone, or personal contact by August 5th.

When the layout is complete and we have a definite cost of the book I will notify you about payment options (cheque, money order, cash or etransfers).
