We are hard at work in the park preparing for may long weekend when we officially open!

Things to note this week:
SHOCKING - Well house 2 and 3 are being shocked today, Well house 1 will be shocked Monday.  Chlorinating (making the water potable) will begin by next Friday, May 16th.  More details: each spring we add extra cleaner to the wells to cleanse the lines from the winter.  The water will smell like chlorine for a number of hours after shocking, it is not harmful but water can be left out for an hour to remove the smell if desired.

Red/Winter gate will continue to be closed Monday night through Thursday evening.  Please lock it behind you if you come through during the week.  On the weekends the electronic gates will be in use.  If your card is not working please stop in and see us.

Garden refuse/leaves/branches: as you clean up your yard please put these items in the burn pit, this saves on garbage pickups for the park.  The burn pit will be unlocked for the next two weekends during maintenance hours.

Leask Dump: be sure to take note of your land location when utilizing their facilities.  They want to know where incoming material is coming from.  you can pin your location before heading out to save yourself some headache.   You can also use the generic: SE 33-48-7 W3

A huge thank you and round of applause for everyone that came out to golf course clean up day on May 3rd.  We got a lot of work done and the golf course committee is ecstatic with the results of our labour!  Thank you!

Remember we are accepting donations of perennials for the memorial garden and the section signs (loon lane etc). If you are splitting plants this year we would love to have them!

Other things we are working on:

The golf course got a haircut!

Supplies are being ordered and picked up for the main store which will again have merch, treats, basic grocery items, basic camping items etc.

Some road work got started, smoothing out ruts left by the spring thaw.  More will be done soon.

Many water repairs have been happening as things spring leaks to celebrate being turned back on for the season.

Staffing has been completed for the summer students though we are still looking for a part time cleaner and a part time baker.  Be sure to stop by and see us if you are looking for a little job this summer!

So many emails, phone calls and bookings in the office!  Camping inquiries, sales, quotes for our summer projects, booking security for events, ordering supplies... so many things to be done on the computer that I have given myself tennis elbow from typing!

We are looking forward to seeing everyone next weekend!  Remember to pack your bug spray as the mosquitoes are already out and I have also seen some sunburns around the park with all of this hot weather!
